Jeanna's first Ohio trip

Jeanna and I flew back to Ohio on Sunday. The flight was uneventful except that she decided to choose this particular time to let out 3 days worth of poop! It soaked through her sleeper and got all over my jeans! Yuck! Oh well. We cleaned up in the airport bathroom and met my mom dad and grandpa at lugage claim and all was well.

Jeanna and her guys

I think this one will grow up to be a daddy's girl!
pic. 1- Why is this baby so happy? Because her daddy loves her so much!
pic. 2- Jeanna had been fussing quite a bit, but lay her next to her daddy and she's out like a light!
pic. 3- Two peas in a pod
pic. 4- It's fun to pull Daddy's beard! (it really is)
pic. 5- WHat do you think? Are these guys in love or what?

A quiet day

Jeanna and I didn't do too much today. Just working on weather-proofing our windows.
pic. 1- Jeanna dozing on our bed
pic. 2- Tony helped Jeanna get dressed this morning. Go Bucks!
pic. 3- Today Jeanna learned that if she kicks the supports on her gym, she can make the toys move. She LOVED this game (don't worry, I got video), and played at if for at least 20 minutes, which is a couple hours in baby time.
pic. 4- Jeanna sitting in her gym. She's able to hit her dangling keys, but I'm never quite sure if it's intentional since she doesn't actually look at them.

Elich Gardens & Kimmy's house

We had a busy weekend. Hope you had a good one too.
Pic. 1- The boys read 2 hrs a week over the summer. As a reward for reaching their goal, they went to Denver's ammusment park, Elich Gardens.
PIc. 2- It snowed Sun. off and on all day and Tony built a snow man.
Pic. 3- Mrs. Rich is in town, so we packed up the family and headed down to Kim and Kip's to enjoy one of Mrs. Rich's Italian feasts. Here Auntie Kim holding Jeanna in the Super Man position.

Karate & Hockey

I'm so lucky that Jeanna has such awesome brothers who take such good care of her.

Pic. 1- Tony is a gold belt in karate. Here he is in the orange sparing gear kicking his classmate's butt. Go Tony!
Pic. 2- So I was holding Jeanna for about a 1/2 hour during Tony's practice and she was fussing the whole time. Nothing I did could keep her happy. I passed her off to Alex and 2 minutes later she was fast asleep. THanks big brother!
Pic. 3- Alex is goalie for his in-line hockey team.
Pic. 4- Jeanna gets a little bored at the games, so she and Tony played in the grass for a while. Jeanna loves her big brother.

I thought I'd just give a little explanation of each pic.
1. Jeanna lays on her changing pad and looks out the kitchen window while I cook dinner (chicken breasts with a chili rub and pinapple salsa)
2. Okay, so she's not always happy, but she IS always adorable!
3. Jeanna and I took a trip up to Bailey to visit our friends Sherrie and Joe. Here's Sherrie performing reki on Jeanna to help her poop. Thanks Sherrie. After 2.5 days, she let out a big one!!
4. Debbie cuddles Jeanna
5. Ken and Jeanna play with her gym

Oct. 16 &17

Hi there. Not much has happened the last couple days. Yesterday Jeanna and I went to Home Depot for stuff to winterize the house. Boy that's expensive. $20 for 3 roles of weather stripping. Afterwards we played for awhile and she fell asleep around 11:30 which is typical. This was a great time to take our walk, which I did. Later we picked the boys up from school and fixed dinner (tacos).
This morning, after dropping the boys off, we went to Green Mountain, an open space park less than 5 min. from our house. Driving by it looks pretty barren, but when you hike through it's actually quite beautiful in a desolate sort of way. Jeanna rides in a wrap that I wear and the rhythm of my walking puts her to sleep almost instantly.
Hope everyone has a great day!
Steph

Monday, October 15, 2007

This morning, like most weekday mornings, Jeanna and I woke up around 7:00 am. She had a little snack, then played with the boys and me as we got ready to go to school. Around 8:15 we left and she fell asleep in the car. Once we got home, Jeanna and I went for our power walk: a 3 mile combination walk/run around the neighborhood. Afterwards, I showered, then filled the bathtub and Jeanna and I played for awhile. Exciting, huh?
